How did I get to the point of creating a content strategy course? 

After 7 years working full-time on content strategy in media (CBS) and in the startup world (Justworks), I was ready to take the plunge into working independently. 

I wanted to be my own boss. I wanted to call the shots on who I worked with, how much I charged, and what my schedule looked like. And I wanted to stay in the exciting stage of helping a company build its content strategy from the ground up. 

I jumped in as a content strategy consultant in 2017 and never looked back. Because I was my own boss, I was free to travel while working full-time (something I’ve been doing with my husband for over 3 years now). Over time, I steadily built a process that gives clients a content strategy tailored to their business — and that pays me the value I deserve. 

It’s safe to say, working for myself has been the most empowering experience of my career. 

And since 2017, I’ve connected with countless peers. Content strategy consultants with different perspectives, approaches, industry experience, and goals.
